Just returned home after a lovely couple of weeks in Cyprus.
Whilst there we visited Wan Chai Chinese in Pernera.
Have to say the meal was excellent and the staff were very obliging and couldn't do enough to help, and we also got 2 bottles of wine foc between the 4 of us.
Will certainly visit again next time we're over

We went for the fixed menu between 4 of us. A good variety and whilst not big eaters of Chinese food in the UK our friends do eat Chinese regularly and they said that it was comparable with some of the best that they had had.
The place itself was quiet but we were expecting this as its just away from the main areas in Pernera.
All the food was piping hot and the staff were very attentive without being intrusive.
Well worth a visit to judge for yourself...............and not too expensive if its not to your liking.

Cheers

Tony

I normally use The Jade Garden in Kapparis and can purchase House Special Curry,Beef and Tomatoes-portion of egg fried rice and portion of boiled rice for 20 euros.Jade was closed tonight (Easter Monday) so i went to Wan Chai in Pernera. They said they could make me a House Special Curry but did not do any meals with tomatoes. She who must be obeyed had chicken with noodles and mushrooms. We did not have any rice.I asked for two spring rolls as an afterthought and the total charge was 24 euros. My curry was wishy washy and there was no comparison with The Jade. The wifes meal was overpoweringly salty.
Overpriced and rubbish quality -not be going back.
I fully appreciate that Curry is not a recognised Chinese meal but they have been catering for western palates long enough out here to know whats what.
End of. Very attractive lady front of house though.

Campbell.

I beg to differ -I make a mean Chinese Curry and so does the Jade garden.I have my own source for Indian grub where we live.

When he says mean, he actually means "You don't get much".

Mind you I agree about the Jade Garden, lovely grub.

I love the Jade Garden, and was disappointed to find out it was closed while I was over here this time. Reluctantly went to Wan Chai, as everyone fancied Chinese.
I have to say it is now my new favourite!! We went twice it was so good, I agree the curry is a bit different, but 2 of our party actually preferred it ( not me) .
The sweet and sour chicken, and chicken chow mein are gorgeous, and you get free prawn crackers and dips ( nice touch) The service is more friendly too.
