This is 18 minutes of a trip in and around Cairo. It starts with the Egypt Museum with a good coverage of the treasures found in Tutenkhamen's tomb. Of course, some of Cairo including the Muhammad Ali Mosque, the Pyramids, Memphis, Saqqara (including one of the oldest buildings in the world). The video ends with a sequence of Cairo's 'Son et Lumière' night-time light show at the Pyramids and Sphinx.
This video was shot in the spare moments of a business trip, mostly in the evenings.
Fascinating. Thank you. if it's your commentary though D I have to say you sound a little like a droid from Star Wars.
Cairo looks a bit like Bejing. Dust though I imagine, not carcinogenic fumes.
I was robbed of my one chance so far to see these treasures. A virus meant I had to give away my excursion tickets and spend the days feeling sorry for myself on a cruise ship.
The dates given for the origin of these antiquities are truly mind bending.
Having visited the likes of Rome and Greece (and I imagine Egypt likewise) it astonishes me that the populations once ruled virtually the entire known world, for centuries.
Nice post. A pleasant diversion.

Great video. They used to make you hand in all cameras and video equipment at the entrance to the Egyptian Museum at one time. Have they relaxed the rules now? Great light show
