At present we have an Administrator and one other person who countersigns cheques. The administrator makes all the decisions.
He has not called an AGM for about 8 yrs. We have not had a statement of accounts presented for the same amount of time. The building and swimming pool need essential repairs and everyone complains to the administrator. he says there is no money ...people don't pay. Our properties are losing value! I think maybe some don't pay as they are sick of wondering where their money goes.We don't know who pays and who does not, there are 24 apartments so we don't know each other.. I think only 2 owners live on site the rest rent out.
One person has got us together and we asked for EGM this happened but less than 50% attended so another meeting was held 7 days later same place same time. A committee of 5 was chosen and it includes the same Chairman.. a couple of his friends voted for him!!! This new committee of 5 met and it was a shambles as one of the new committee members hasn't paid common expenses as she is fed up with wasting her money. 3 of the committee walked out of the meeting including her because of bad tempers. What can we do now.
We seriously need legal help to find out what is happening with the accounts. At the EGMs the Administrator would not give details of income ...only expenditure.
Can anyone suggest a way forward.
