i saw it today at 1.20 and you call that low?
low was when it was at almost 1 for 1 a couple of years ago, and we were members of the EU then!
currency speculators make their money doing just that, speculating.
the Bank of England is supporting the pound against the dollar, but the next few months will show uncertainty unless Britain can strengthen itself against the brexit result, and provide some positive economic plans regarding its trade agreements with other nations, what its brexit plan is, and a stable parliament.
until then , expect an ebb and flow of the exchange rate.
