Can anyone recommend a British lawyer to complete a will to cover our Cyprus property that is fully conversant of Cypriot law and procedure in this.

Thanks

You'll be better off using Willpower. If you use a lawyer, then they'll put themselves down as executor and, when the time comes, charge an exorbitant rate, but within Cypriot law, for doing it. Use Willpower and specify a family member as executor. They can then negotiate with lawyers for the best rate and save thousands.

Marion Carter is fine. The reason we switched to her was because she advises NOT to use the lawyer as an Executor. We have some Cyprus friends and UK relatives as executors.

This potential problem is very easy to overcome. Simply agree a fixed fee for this work with the lawyer and have the amount written into your will.

How can you agree a fixed rate for administering an estate when you don't know how much work is involved until you die?
