Hi, not quiet sure where to post this but need some advise. A UK registered company which was operating over here owes me money. The owner of the company left and went back to UK, the company is finished over here but he is running another business in the UK. As the company is UK registered is there anyway I can chase him for the money owed to me? He doesn't take my calls or answer any emails to me. The company also owes money to a few other people and they want also to try and get their money back. Thanks.

Since you have his UK contact details, you should be able to chase him for payment through the EU cross-border procedure.

This is a bit of a long read, but hopefully you will find it useful (and it is in English):

Unfortunately yours is a very common story here on the island.
These fraudsters think they're fireproof - but they aren't. Wink

As the company is UK registered use the small claims court procedure in a UK court
I believe it is pretty straightforward and costs about 30. From what I have been told you issue the claim and if the other party does not reply you will win
Not sure what the maximum amount that you can claim is but research it on the Internet

Even better you can do it all online and the Court staff are very helpful.

We successfully claimed against an individual who had moved back to the UK owing us money.
We did it through the Small Claims Court. People who move back to UK think they can ignore claims because the claimant is in Cyprus. If they fail to respond in the required time the court rules in favour of the claimant.
