Hi

How do you quote someone's message if you want to reply to a particular poster?

Cheers

Hi SJ, just look to the top right of the message. There is a quote button. Click on it and "hey presto". Make sure your cursor is outside the "quotes" and you're good to go.

Hi - You just hit the Quote button towards the top of the message that
you wish to quote. You can also edit out bits of the quoted part if you
wish to highlight just relevant bits.

You should write your part after the [/quote] bit.

How do I use part of a quote, then reply underneath it, then use another part of the quote seperately and reply underneath that all in one reply. Does that make sense?

Hi Lynsab if you want to quote more than one person from different posts you have to open a new window then quote, copy and paste into your reply post.

Can I post my email address on the forum?

We strongly suggest that you do not post your email address in any
messages on the forum. This is to prevent email harvesters from
scanning the forum and then being able to grab your email address.
Obviously if they have your email address they then can send spam
emails to you and there is nothing we can do to prevent that.

By default we show an email icon underneath any postings you make
and in your account profile. This is a safe method for people to be able to
contact you through the forum as your email address is not initially shown.

Should you wish to disable this function then ensuring you are logged in
please click the 'Profile' link from the top menu bar. On the next page
then scroll down to the Preferences section and then next to:
Always show my e-mail icon: check the No option. Then click the Submit
button to save the changes.

Should you for any reason feel that you need to post your email address
then please use a free utility like
Links only visible to Registered Members
Register for Free or Login to the forum.

.
This is a safer method of displaying your email address.
