If by "brown rice" you mean wholegrain rice be careful what you buy here. The parboiled stuff looks brown but is not wholegrain.
The most likely places for wholegrain is Carrefoure (Expensive at 3euros for 1KG) and sometimes Plus but they dont often stock it and the girls always direct you to the parboiled stuff. Both places it is in purple cartons usually next to Basmati rice.
For years this was almost given away at healthfood shops in UK then people latched onto the better texture and flavour. On last UK visit it was about 1 per Kg still a lot cheaper than here.Well worth filling your suitcase unless you use Monarch!

Litsas have it in Vrysoulles its Raj brown basmati rice at approx 2.80 for 1kg per box, there was one packet of Waitrose brown rice there as well today, plus brown and wild rice together, didnt see the price of those though. With this brown rice soak for 20 mins beforehand then a good rinse in cold water, its fine. btw I add some coriander and a little yoghurt after cooking helps the flavour a bit, the trick is as my OH says is always to steam rice, its perfect everytime.
