Does anyone know of any Scouts/Brownies Group in Eastern Cyprus please? Is anyone thinking of setting one up? Are there any kids clubs after school activities? Any information would help us a lot. We have 2 kids aged 8 (boy) and 6 (girl). Thank you. Very Happy

There is a Scout group in Larnaca - headquarters is near entrance to Orphandides car park.

There used to be Groups at Dhekelia and Ay Nik.
I'm not sure if they still exist or are open to youngsters from outside the bases.

Thank you very much. I found the one in Larnaca and that it is on Saturday afternoons, so I'm going to go along and ask about it.

Are there any Brownies for 6-7 year olds anywhere? Also are there any other kids clubs for out of school activities, so kids can make new friends?
Thank you.

I remember attending one of the big parades in Paralimni last year - sorry can't remember which "Special Day" it was - but it was mainly school bands, school sports teams & several groups of cubs/scouts/brownies & guides.

I have also seen the scouts symbol on a building behind the fountain area in Paralimni.

If your children are attending school in Cyprus why don't you ask their teachers what is available?

You could also google scouting/guiding in cyprus & see what comes up.

Thanks Ruth it looks like the one you mentioned in Paralimni is Sea scouts although I only guess this from the logo's out the front...have seen it before...

I will suggest my son asks at school, although I won't hold my breath...I am sure he will be embarrassed...its difficult being 10 you know!!! Laughing
