Hi all,

I recently got my pink card for medical treatment here. I work and have 20+ years til retirement and obviously pay my social insurance.

I should have asked when I applied for the pink card, (was having a blonde moment!), but as I am not of retirement age, what does this actually entitle me to? I thought it was just emergency treatment, I have been asking around, and no-one seems to know, even my cypriot friends.

Any help would be great, just so that I am prepared.

Thanks

Sue

It gives you the same rights as a Cypriot. When you applied you will have proved your income so if you have to pay anything it will depend on what you told them. When you go along you will be given a book in which the Doctor will write down any treatments.

Thanks Anita, that is where the confusion comes in, 1 cypriot friend said he still has to pay for prescriptions etc, and he has 4 kids, another is not even entitled to a medical card.

Thanks

Sue
