help!!! we have bought a appartment in thea court and have now been told that there is a 1 year delay so instead of june 06 it will be june 07 ,we were coming over to live in june 06 but hope to still come over to rent till our appartment is ready.the builders are chacholis they have offered us a good will gesture of £2,ooo and also £2oo per month till our appartment is finished,is there any members out there in the same situation as us.
i have not been in your position , but is he going to pay for you to rent somewhere until yours is ready, if not £200 a month is not going to go far towards the rental of a decent sized property in Cyprus,
I beleive you are looking at £250 pounds and upwards for a 2 bedroomed apartment at long term rent.
Take a look at rentals with Island Homes who sponsor this forum, George might be able to help you with finding a rental.
Buysell do rentals as well it will give you an idea of how much you will need to pay out until yours is ready.
A years delay is a long time, have you found out why, You could always ask if there are any other properties available with the same developer and swop. The next project on the boks might be ready sooner if it is a planning permision delay with Thea Court.
If your contract states June 06 I would imagine you are entitled to accomodation paid for by the developer.
Very sorry about your situation, but i do know of others who have had the rental fees paid by the developer. because they could not deliver on time.
We have also bought at Thea Court, although ours isn't supposed to be ready until February 06. Last time I spoke to rep in Cyprus she said it was delayed and we would be receiving a letter from Chacholis. As yet I haven't heard, but I've sent an email to my solicitor.
Thank you for the pictures, we have recently been told that we have a year's delay & really aren't impressed with Chacholi's developers but these blocks look nice, is anyone else in the same block as us ?.
Is there more than one Thea Court ? - or are there only some apartments not finished ? We were looking to book to rent an apartment there when we are over in October. The apartment is advertised on [Advertising Link removed]It states in the description available from July 06 and that there is a 20% rental reduction due to the fact that there will still be some building work still going on. ( That doesn't bother us).
Maybe we would be better going for something that we know is completed ?
Hi Martin & Gail
Thea court will eventually be a large development and i understand that that there is a lot of building work still under way,
That is fine if you don't mind being woken up in the very early hours when the builders start work ( and i mean early !!!)
"you're never fully dressed without a smile!!"
You were good enough to post some pictures of Thea Court some months ago.
I am in the process of buying an Apartment in Block 15 (Apt D22).
The developers (Chacholis) advise me that the block is now plastered and I was wondering if it was possible for some further pictures to be taken (especially Block 15) and posted on this link so all purchasers can see the progress?
Unfortunately I am in the UK at the moment so am unable to help this
time. We do have some great members on-board though and am sure
someone wouldn't mind taking a few piccies and posting them for
you and others.
