We moved in last December, we know that there are other English/Cypriot and Danish families also living there but as yet have not met any members of this board.
I have included a few pix of the development :
We look forward to meeting all new residents in the near future.
Hi everyone just got back from taking delivery of our apartment at Maria Court ,it was cold, tiring and one of the most hectic weeks of our lives , but you know what we now know that it is one of the best things we have ever done. The apartment was ready, we had no problems what so ever
and everyone we met was really friendly [usual for Cyprus] Thanks to everyone who gave us advice before we went as this was really handy. So now on to our next hectic schedule as we get married in May [only 11 weeks oh my better get a move on] but at least we can look forward to a well earned rest (honeymoon) in our great new place in the sun.
Hi Daren & Tracy,
Glad to hear all went well, we took delivery in December.
Like you we had no problems and if there was, Tommy was always around to sort anything out.
Hope to meet you both out there soon.
Has the rubbish pile got any bigger !!

Hi Steve and Kathy
Its great to hear from you, we also went with Tommy ,he seems very popular as everyone knows of him. The rubbish tip is still there and getting bigger by the day, im sure they are planning a bonfire spectacular, but you never know it might frighten the frogs off did you hear them. We were watching the farmer opposite plant his watermelons for this year, so at least they wont be building on that land just yet hopefully. Our apartment is on top but one of the smaller ones, if I remember rightly is your apartment the one with two balcony's in the photo, it must great to have the best of both worlds. Hope to meet up some time.
Hi Daren & Tracy,
Yes you are right, 2 balconies.
As for the frogs if you think they are loud now, wait till later !!
A couple of questions :
Are the outside lights working yet ?
Is the tv aerial working yet, there is a booster box on the top of our landing but there wasn't any power to it ?
Any news of the lifts ?
The outside lights are working, however the stair lights are still not connected.
TV aerial still not connected and EVIKO have confirmed to us that the lifts will be installed before the summer season. Your lift is half installed and ours is still in bits in our car port (keeps us fit though).
Were planning to go back on the 14th May for our honeymoon, can't wait!!
Hi to you all in Maria Court. We have an apartment opposite yours. Blocks M & K, doesn't sound very glamorous I know, but have had it for 4 years this summer. It is wonderful, we have managed to spend many months each year there. Our neighbours are a mix of english and cypriot and are very nice also. Was there 4 weeks ago for 2 weeks when the weather only picked up for the last 2 days, boy was it cold before that.
Good to hear from you, we have met a few people from your blocks when we have been over, all seem really friendly.
You must know "Chicken" Ken and Heather then, such a nice couple, we always have a laugh with them.
I believe that the land between our blocks has been sold for more development, have you heard anything ?
Hi Steve & Kathy, Don't know anything about more development, but of course do know "chicken" Ken and Heather, great couple. We are moving out at the end of this month, with Dave going a couple of weeks before me due to job and last minute things to do. So looking forward to it.
We are getting married in the UK (a traditional wedding), it is really busy at the moment with all the final preparations.
Sorry to be the bearer of bad news with regards to the lifts, lights etc. At what stage were the lifts at when you were over in December?
Whilst we were over in February they were fencing off the field to back of Maria Court (across the road), we were informed that this was a new development containing approx 300+ apartments (not sure how accurate this figure is).
Hope the move goes well, we were out a couple of weeks ago taking delivery of our apartment and I could'nt beleive how cold it was, felt a bit like good old England, but i'm sure it will be warming up nicely now.
We were also over in Feb 4-11, and yes it was cold and wet !
That new development over the road, well they started tearing up all the trees with diggers and then decided to burn them !! The smoke was like fog and it smelt awful, just like being in the uk on a Sunday !
Our lift was sort of installed, but there was still quite a bit of work to be done.
Still we are not to bothered, whilst it's not working we haven't got to pay for it !
Did you have any major probs when you moved in ?
The apt below us had a/c put in by Eviko and it blew all the fuses every time they used it !
In the end the Elec Board had to come out and sort things out for them !
Sorry it took so long to reply, don't always have the time to log on everyday.
We never had any problems whatsoever, but a couple we met also had problems with their a/c.
Just a mention about payment for the lifts and lights (stairway), have you any idea what the payments are .
Hopefully you can shed some light on this for us, as this is one area we can't get any info on.
