Just out of interset, what are the average waiting times for hospital referrals in Cyprus.

I have been referred by my GP in the UK for an ultra sound scan , 2 1/2 weeks later I have now had a letter from the hospital, advsing that they are very busy and would I like to go to the nearest private hospital as they can see me quicker.

My last medical problem - 10 months to be diagnosed / treated !!

Nel

My other half went to see the doctor one Monday at Paralimni hospital to ask about the removal of a mole. Was told to come back the following Monday for it to be removed, and it was. Very good service in my opinion.

Hi Nel. We are at the Paphos end of the island. No doubt there are different types of scans. I had kidney pain last year and the private GP that I saw, recommended that I go for a scan. At about 4-00pm he rang another private hospital to see when it could be done. Whilst on the phone he asked if 5-30pm would be OK...... That was the same day.
I had the scan which the doctor repeated again after 30minutes. So, two scans and the results in about an hour. The cost was CYŁ 60-00. This would bejust over €100-00

Different scans will be different prices, but it is that simle here.

Regards. Trev..
