| Must be one of the best value restaurants in the entire area. The food is spot on, one of the last places where home-made means just that.
Tassos reminds me of a Greek Mr Bean  but all credit to him, he knows how to run a restaurant :D
It's on the main road between Pernera and Protaras, a couple of doors after Woodys Pub. |

| Hi,
After been recommended this place by Marion on the site I have been
quite a few times. Don't normally recommend restaurants as 1) Don't eat
out that often 2) I like to eat there a few times before I recommend it.
Anyway went again tonight and the food was again fabulous and very
reasonably priced! Had the kleftico and it was lovely and tender and the
service was as always great. The owner always makes an effort and
nothing it seems is too much trouble. All five of us enjoyed the meals
and left feeling full will definately be visiting it again.
BTW as I had driven past it a few times before I knew what it was - it
is just after Woody's heading towards Protaras on your left hand side and
before the traffic lights.
HTH
Cheers

| Had a meal for 18 people on my sons 18th
Food fantastic and plenty of it
Service - well nothing was to much for Tassos or his staff
Went again a couple of weeks later for a Christining party and yet again superb
The meals were always Cypriot traditional
Have spoken to someone who has had a steak and was not happy with it |

| Hi John,
Agree that Tassos can't do enough for you - as for the steak as the
saying goes - you can't please all the people all the time
Cheers

| I agree with all those positive comments, excellent value for money and always made exceptionally welcome by Tassos and staff. |

| I'm debating whether to post this or not as I don't want to put people off going... however if anyone knows the owners they might want to know etc...
We have never been in and main reason is as you walk up the road just as you get there you can smell a drain or something similar and it really puts us off stopping to even look at the menu !

10 years been going there living in sweet memoirs just along the road. great place great food and Tasos is brilliant. Why not pop in and tell him he will be greatful you have pointed this out and probably give you a brandy |

| We went there last week... didn't notice any bad smells.
Reasonable food, reasonable price, great customer service and atmosphere though most of the diners seemed to be... um... shall we say, pensioners?

| Hmmm...not quite sure what's being said here...is it that older people smell like drains, or that they should stay at home and not clutter up the restaurants?

| lol... no I'm sure the restaurant smells fine.. but as you may notice from time to time you get smells in the air...(we presume its drains) and we notice them in certain places... you used to get it walking past the WC hut near the beach in Pernera (not noticed it for years there now)... sometimes on the road passing between the Elamaris and windmills... and as you are almost outside SuperS in Protaras... its the same smell and stops you thinking of food !.. |

| We went for the first time last night and didn't notice any bad smells either from the customers or anywhere else!
What we did get was extremely friendly service and lovely food at a very reasonable price. Eight Euros for a delicious main course and three for a good starter - just like old times!! Not to mention sensibly priced wine, eight and a half Euros for Arsinoe 62 - I've seen that (but not paid it!!) at twice that price in some other establishments! And if that wasn't good enough, when we asked for two more glasses (just two Euros each) we got the rest of the bottle on the house! Just as well we weren't driving home!!
We were also given some fruit and then Tasos insisted that we have a glass of Zivana - but that was the only negative on the night!!! |

| WW,
Glad that you enjoyed it - Tassos is a great character and the food, service
and prices make it a favourite for us!
Steve,
Have never smelt anything outside previously and have been quite a few
times - you may have just been unlucky on that particular occasion -
don't let it put you off when you're over next as i'm sure you won't be
disappointed.
Cheers

| How far is this place from Protaras? We stay at the Andreotis is it a long walk? As we are self catering we eat out most nights, reading all your comments looks as though the food is a must.
Shaz  |

| Have fond memories of eating there many times, 'till very late on one occasion! Tassos would, I'm sure have something done about any offending smells were he aware of any, he really cares about his clients. Instead of 'spreading the word' the best thing surely is to have a quiet chat to him. |

Shaz,
From say Mcdonalds in Protaras it is about a 5minute walk.
If you are coming from Protaras go to the top road.
With the Sphinx bar (on the corner) on your right hand side heading
in the direction of Pernera.
Walk past the traffic lights and it is just after that.
It is just before Woodys - on the same side.

These bio bogs on the beach seem to keep the smell down now a days  |
