Don't be downhearted, Kevin. I understand. But...if you don't mind...can we skip the big hug? In public anyway! Let's see if we can keep this thread light. Or should that be "lite"? Any tips welcome. Cheers Alex

I think we should just keep a thread going with motives as they say a lot anyway. :P

:D Love it Kipper! Been to Lanzarote last week, the Restaraunts all had 'smoking areas' so I ate my meals with the family, then nipped out to the smoking area for a fag, no problem. Every Bar I went into, and I went into plenty, were 'smoking allowed'! what a wonderfull place :D The villa we rented didn't stipulate smoking/no smoking, but we had our two year old Grandaughter with us, so I smoked outside at all times, and anyway, I wouldn't have smoked inside a holiday Villa out of respect for other users. So, you see, we smokers can be considerate, but I have to say, it's much easier to be considerate in the heat of the Canaries! I did ask one Bar Owner about the smoking ban, his reply? 'We choose, not the government' so I asked him about fines from the smoking police, his reply? 'They are not interested, they know we have to make a living' what a civilized country for smokers, not so good for non-smokers. Very busy with tourists, not expensive, and some great entertainment.

Perhaps Tenerife would be a better choice of Canary Island for you lot. Then you could all go up Mount Teide and see if you can get that smokin' again as well!
