He has quit over the appointment of Tommy Robinson as advisor to the party on Racist issues. He went on to say that Robinson should never be involved in a Political party. At least it seems Farage has got some moral standards. Good on him for coming out and saying what he feels about the Thug.

That's the first thing that he's done that I agree with.

They are as bad as each other. Farage just does not like competition for the limelight .
Neither should be allowed involvement in politics

Ive no time for either of them, but to say say they shouldn't be allowed in Politics, smacks abit like North Korean Democracy?

As far as Robinson is concerned I disagree. Remember he was leader of a banned movement and incites racialist hatred.

I disapprove of what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it.

Confused, what part do you disapprove.
I am only talking about Robinson, who is a convicted criminal who cannot be an MP by law anyway.

I know what it means, thank you.
Just wondering why you think a convicted thug should be allowed to spout racial hatred hiding behind a political party.
I agree with Freedom of speech, but there are also laws about what you can say and do.
You can google that as well.

Merry Christmas everyone, peace and goodwill to all. :D :D :D

Robinson is not only a convicted criminal, he's awaiting trial & sentence for putting ongoing court cases in jeopardy.
My gripe is the attention he gets from e.g. Newsnight.

I think you have done that all by yourself.
I only asked the question why do you disapprove, it is you who blew it up.
All you had to do was to come back and say why, is that too difficult.
There was no auteria motive on my part.
Just another banana skin.

Normally I would agree with you . However there is an exception to every rule and this pair of foul mouthed , evil bigots have set it
I personally could not defend them or give them the right to vent their spleen in public , let alone in parliament

I think Robinson is the lowest of the low, but if people like the Oxford union are prepared to listen to him, thats what Democracy entails, im afraid

As unpalatable as it can sometimes get - it's a slippery slope Scottie.

Do you have any idea why or what his gripe was in this case. Check It out then I trust you will rethink your criticism in this instance.

Yes I know what his (Robinson's) gripe was in this case and it doesn't make
me change my view - he was warned so cannot complain about the consequences.
Cheers

Much as one might admire your attempt at Morse Code, I'm afraid it really didn't make any more sense than your previous effort! :? :bsmile:
