Hi we've just booked a villa for september in pernera. We won't get to the villa till approx midnight. Can anyone tell me if there is somewhere we can either get bread and milk from or where we can get a drink and meal from at that time of night. Thanks Liz

Liz I don't know the area well enough to speak about pleces being open at that time, but I am sure someone else on the forum will be able to help. My post is suggesting if you have considered asking the people / company you are renting the villa from, if they will provide a welcome pack? (eg juice / water / milk / tea / coffee / bread / spread etc). I appreciate it is not a full meal :-) but will provide drinks at least on arrival. John

drive down the main road through paralimni from ayia napa and you will find a couple of 24 hour bakeries that will sell what you need they are lit up pretty well so difficult to miss. also a couple on nissi avenue in ayia napa. paul

Hi Liz, Welcome to the forum! As well as Paul's suggestion above you will find a couple of 24hr bakeries about a 10 minute drive away. From Pernera head away from Protaras and to Paralimni - you will come to a roundabout and so take the left exit. Follow the road up the hill for a few minutes until you pass a large supermarket on your left. Option 1. Just past there on your right hand side you will see a right hand turn just after Action Sports. Drive down that road for a minute or so and you will see a 24hr bakery on your left hand side. Option 2. Instead of turning right carry straight on past the supermarket and carry on straight. You will see on your right hand side a parade of shops - one of which is a 24hr bakery. Alternatively as John mentions a welcome pack might be handy and save you a bit of running around when you get there. HTH Cheers Steve

I agree with Steve the 24 hour bakeries are very good. Not only bakery products but a lot of other thigs you may need for the morning.

Hi Liz, as said your villa owner should be able to supply some basics for you. You could ask them to supply a pizza for you to stick in the oven. You may also be able to pick up some supplies from the airport shop in arrivals. Are you getting a taxi from the airport? Ruth

Hi Ruth, The owners have arranged for someone to collect us from the airport. I could ask if they could stop off on the way to get water at least. Or we could possibly get a taxi into Protaras to have a meal. Liz :)

The owners should be able to supply all the basics including water for you, just ask them. You will probably be ready for bed by the time you get to the villa after all that travelling, then you can do some shopping the next morning. Have a great holiday. Ruth

Hi Liz, have a look at my latest update "Another new Bar/Restaurant open in Pernera" This should be of use to you. I don't know where you are staying in Pernera, but the new bar/restaurant is fairly central to walk to. Regards, Jim.

Hi Jim, Just taken a look at your lastest post. This is useful. What time do the pubs usually close in penera? We're not sure where about the villa is all we know is that it has tennis courts and a childrens playt area on the complex. Many Thanks Liz

Hi Liz, The pubs may not shut till 1 or 2, but most of them stop serving food around 11pm. What is the name of your complex, and I may be able to locate it for you. Regards, Jim.

Hi Jim, We're not sure as it's the first time in Pernera and pick up is provided. All we know is that it's 5 mins walk away from Golden Coast Beach and the fishing harbour. There is also a picnic area in the complex. We're looking forward to it though as it sounds lovely. Thanks for your help. Liz
