That's pretty amazing. Chelyabinsk, where this happened, has a population of around 1 million people. I lived there 2005-2007.

Some years ago ( before the new roads) we were driving back from Larnaka there was a huge upward swoop on the road close to Dhekalia with a high embankment to the left of the road. As we approached there Was a not too loud bang followed by two small but beautiful bursts of light. I remarked that they must have fireworks at the base but when we got there nothing going on. Could some expert tell me if these could have been small meteorites ?

Can't remember the date Tang It was just a general does this sort of thing happen question as I have wondered ever since what it was.

Well you don't give a date Scottie. So I'm thinking it would be impossible for anyone to check to see whether anything was recorded.
How about this then?

Similar effect to what happens the morning after I have two large portions of Mutton Vindaloo, only my backside is hotter and louder
