To any of you currently in the UK, Tesco have large bottles of Keo (normally 2.29 each) on offer at 4 for 5 at the moment! I reckon thats cheaper than I have seen it in Cyprus (I may be wrong) I have stocked up for Christmas

Not as cheap as in Kokkinos supermarket here, which works out at about 82p for a 630 cl bottle (assuming exchange rate 1 = 1.2 euros).

By 'large' do you mean Cyprus large (600-odd cl) or UK large (500cl) ?

Mmmm, might have a tootle round. Makro sometimes have Efes and Efes Draught. Leon was available from a couple of on-line places. Not any more, sadly.

I prefer Leon when over there, But proper beer is my booze of choice when home. It would be for giving as just-something-to-open Xmas prezzies - to people i actually like.

I like Keo and have bought it from Tesco's several times but each time I've been disappointed, either it doesn't travel well or you need the Cypriot sunshine to appreciate the beer. But for real beer it has to be Lancashire Breweries Blonde from the tap, totally sublime, trouble is I can only get it when visiting my son in uni.

Rubbish, I have drunk many a KEO in the UK (no where near as many as I have drunk here) and they were always wonderful!
BTW, I fixed the quotes for you.

Tesco; both Keo and Efes. Didn't look at the price of the Efes, just put a 4-pack in the trolley - immediately followed by a tut from t'other half!

Efes is 4.99 for 4x330cl or 1.50 for a 500cl bottle in Tesco's UK, more expensive than in north Cyprus, we could buy a crate of 24 for 22 when there.

I don't recall complaining about the prices here in the UK.

I never said YOU did :?

You can edit sections out of quotes. Because my quote was there I thought you were inferring that I was complaining.

My sentence evokes you to say I'm complaining? I'm pointing out the difference, I lived there for years, I've lived here for years, it's called experience! Even if it is in the price of beer!
Those of us members who OWN in Cyprus but don't live there are allowed our input too you know it's a part of the forum

Sorry but as I was replying from my phone, I missed removing your part..
Sorry LynSab, but to me the way to text read it seem to you were commenting that it was a better deal price wise in cyprus, which of course it is compared to tesco, and what i was saying also still stands.... Sorry if I offended you but distance and price always reflects... That's all I was meaning....
I never said you living anywhere was an issue.....

No that was me taking it wrong, you never offended at all, my apologies if I sounded orff, I was ironing, I hate ironing!
I'm just delighted to get Keo or Efes in the UK at a reasonable price, I never before drank beer until I lived in Cyprus apart from the odd shandy, but I got a taste for it, I've tried others since I've been back in the UK, they're okay but Keo suits me fine, there are good parts of life in Cyprus that work over here too.
Mr T you need help   Or your running out of things to say?

Yes indeed, the "new me" is intrinsically boring. :(
I'd much rather be a Rottweiler but..................................... Father Christmas is watching.
Hey, are you ready there for next week? :snow:

Hell yes! Insulation in this house so real toastie inside, winter duvets, new padded coat, scarves, gloves and fur hat! Sledge bought last week ( for grandkids ) wellies ( with flowers ) snow grips, warm socks! Tons of salt for driveway ( its uphill  ) plus lots of food, lots of drink, my OH and my continuing good health.
Of course it helps we can enjoy it, as we don't work. I realise it's awful for others. Extreme weather seems to be becoming the norm
Weather here has been reasonable for sometime, when we do bad weather we definitely go for it
I look good piled up with padding and fake fur
