Anyone else cheesed off that IKEA doesn't open on a Sunday :?: :x In the UK & in Greece (dont know about other countries) they open on Sundays. The Greece stores are owned by the same company as in Nicosia. So one would think that the same would apply in Cyprus. Wingeing, I know, but I love to shop on a Sunday. Does anyone feel the same? Maybe we should start a petition & send to their H/O. Regards to all!! Shopaholic. :P

The thing that most of us love about Cyprus is its traditions. Other than tourist shops it's traditional for shops not to open on Sundays. We can't have it both ways. And if IKEA had the same family attraction as the beaches do on Sundays you wouldn't want to be there anyway :D Doug

No no no. As Doug said the one thing I like here is that shops are shut on Sundays. It's a family day and by staying shut the family do do stuff together. Love Ikea but wouldn't want to go there on a Sunday. Sue

Its also against the law to open on Sundays except for certain categories of stores, bakers, kiosks, and so on. The law is relaxed for the run up to Xmas/New Year & Easter.
