| Does make me wonder what he (or anyone else) would be saying right now if Cyprus HAD NOT joined the EU (therefore not eligible for any EU bailouts or handouts) because they sure as hell would have been in the same boat right now being so closely tied up with Greece and their misfortunes as they are (and always were). And with the property market selling to Brits drying up (not least of all because of the pound sterling going down the crapper).
No one twisted their arm or forced them to accept EU money and have to adhere to 'austerity measures'. They could always have steadfastly refused and it looked at one stage as if they were going to do that (until it was made clear to them that Mother Russia was NOT going to step in and save the day)|
