Just a quick post to thank all my past customers for their custom and loyal support over the years as it with regret that I have to admit my time in Cyprus (5.1/2 years) has now come to an end. I have now made the decision to return to the UK (or Aberdeen if you prefer). I wish you all every success in living the dream here in Cyprus but for me sadly, it has become a nightmare. I will still be working for the next 2 weeks, then the van and tools will be getting shipped out

'Awrabest' Ronnie, (even if you didn't buy my Skybox! :o) So sad when it doesn't work out but you have obviously given it your best shot and haven't made this decision lightly. Two good people lost to Cyprus, Les the Mechanic and now Ronnie. Cheers, Jinty

Ronnie we wish you every success as you start your new life in Aberdeen. Perhaps there will be a time later in life that you can return to Cyprus perhaps for the winters. Life always has surprises in store for us. Aberdeen seems to be a thriving City from what a relative tells us and so I am sure that you will get lots of work and soon settle. Do keep in touch on the forum and tell us how you are getting along. Jan and Ian

I make it three; James (FabFencing) has also gone back, although the business will continue under a manager.
Times are hard.

The Clean Plumbers Poem
Last night I met Ronnie in my dream, but this wasn't any plumber, Ronnie was clean!
I had no worry he'd mess the carpet with some mysterious plumber's goo, you see he placed a clean bootie over first his left and right shoe.
Ronnie arrived on time to work on the problem at hand, something deep in the pipes was causing my water to stand!
There was no last minute increase in fees; not once or even twice, he gave me a quote in advance, what he called an up front price
My drain was soon running free, "You'll like our work", he stated, "It's our 100% satisfaction guarantee!"
I awoke the next day to learn it wasn't a dream, he really was here; next time your plumbing needs service, give Ronnie the Plumber a call, there's nothing to fear!

Strangely enough, after an absence, the UK can seem very attractive again! No ideas of your circumstances, ronnie, but good luck. Christine

Posted By: rtp2010

well, i sent my van back to the uk last wednesday, they told me it would take 2 weeks for it to arrive in hull. so then we decided to book our one way tickets for 2 weeks later. i had to give them a contact number in the uk. i gave them my cousins number. he rung me yesterday to tell me that the shipping agents in hull had rung him to tell him that my van was in hull and to come and collect it. now i am still over here in cyprus with over a week to go, my van with all my personnal effects are in hull. to cap it all, they now want to charge me for storage on top of the shipping charges. no much wonder when i said i have HAD ENOUGH, the folk at this end, the left hand does'nt know what the right hand is doing. one and a half weeks to go and i'm LOVING THE THOUGHT OF IT.

Posted By: MCM Carrington

If they told you two weeks, then 'they' should pay the storage! anyway, good luck for your future.

Oops! Must have taken a wrong turning or are they travelling the long way round to Aberdeen? Last I heard Ronnie wasn't too sure where they were going to settle.....maybe he prefers south of the border........

Posted By: MCM Carrington

What had they 'had enough 'of? it isn't clear.

Hi Tina
.....No not a doggy Sat Nav they did purposely come to visit us ~
They have decided to settle in Loughborough (near to family) & 1 hour away from Sunny Stoke.
Both just left for home after an enormous pub lunch & a calorie ridden cream cake!
the other Tina. :D

Pan, If you are trying to goad me, you are failing miserably  Next? :D

Now Teenz, that really is a surprise! The lucky pair must have a thirst for the wide choice of cultural diversity Loughborough has on offer! :? The extreme lengths Ronnie will go to in order to find a good curry house?
Now then, was your will power strong enough to resist any of those fattening cream cakes....... [-X

Posted By: MCM Carrington

Does anyone know what the post by James and Mel means? Ah well, no matter anyway.

Posted By: tinabean

MCM Carrington ???? Not a clue what they are wittering on about (seems like a private feud~ & i'm keeping well out!) My post was just update to 'friends' of Ronnie & Tanya to let them know they are happy & settling into the UK way of life! Tanya is loving it! Sometimes people for whatever reason, sometimes even none, fancy a change & Ronnie is in the lucky position do just do that! He had had enough of the Cyprus way & personally I don't think he will be back!! Shame. & Tina ......nooooooo the cake was delicious ! :D Diet starts today!! AGAIN! Other Tina x

Posted By: MCM Carrington

Thanks Tina, I believe you should never say never, so they might surprise you one day! All the best to them.
