for those of you who miss the white stuff here's a little of it,
this pic outside my windows this morning, we cant get out atm, the farmer who owns the barn we rent, is out in this blizzard rounding up sheep that are near to lambing and bringing them into the warmth, mind you hes a wealthy landowner so we dont feel to sorry for him...

It is not the snow we miss Lyn, it is YOU we miss,

Looks a lovely place to be marooned in tho Lynn :)

Dont miss it AT ALL

Awwwh Geoff you are nice :D Hows my house doing over there? Scottie, I do love this scenery as much as I loved the stunning costal scenery in Cyprus. The winter can actually be beautiful, if your safe and warm. Jinty marooned is the word  it's much deeper now than this morning and drifting, have just put the cat in it to get a pic, and she disappeared

Hope these take your mind off your fat hand for a while

Get well soon

Your house looks from the outside to be fine.
No wild parties reported yet as far as I know.

Sounds like the farmer is not just wealthy but wealthy and stupid. The weather men have been predicting the arrival of the snow all week , why did he not get the sheep in sooner ?

No. 1 son sent me beautiful pics from Bath today. Wish I'd been there to see it (especially as nothing GOOD has happened since I returned just over a week ago) My response to him was one line ..... DON'T FORGET TO FEED MY ROBIN REDBREAST!

Well spotted Mac, he actually warned us about the heavy snow expected the other day :? We got our supplies in. Yet he was here first thing moving the sheep OH helped him, he forgot this lot he says  he does have a lot of sheep, plus land, plus potatoes, plus refurbed barns ( we are in one) plus farm houses plus this is his parents farm which he now owns, the list goes on, and he sees to do most of it himself

Just received this from my daughter. An unusual study of her and I bet her pupils at the Senior School she teaches in (Science up to A level) would just LOVE to see these pics of 'Miss' lol!

yes my location can be wet and windy near oroklini bog but I don't need to dig out my car so I can get it of the drive like my son had to yesterday .
looks pretty on post cards but I repeat that I don't mis the stuff at all -- to many bad winters on my hands and knees scraping the stuff out of railway equipment so all the ungrateful passengers could get to and from work .

Got our first dollop of the white stuff last night so walked down the river with my new camera today.

Beautiful pics Badger! Love the swan taking off, and the Beagle :D I used to be owned by one of them many years ago

Posted By: badger

 :lol:Know what you mean Lyn, over the years we have been owned by three dogs. All taken from care after being mistreated, first a black alsation then a Basenji and finally a beautiful blond Afghan.

Good job i got out with the camera yesterday, it poured down last night and woke this morning to not a scrap of snow, not even on the tops. The river was about three feet higher than yesterday though.

Posted By: badger

We had another 4 or 5ins of snow on wednesday, it soon melted on lower ground but there is still some left on the fell tops.

Your pictures are beautiful, badger, but it still looks bloody cold! Cheers Alex
