| Many years ago when President Eisenhower was in the White House, a visit was arranged for one of the British aristocracy, the Earl of Arundel. On the Earl's arrival, he was met by members of the American Press who photographed him shaking hands with the President and then being taken away in the Presidential limo for a meal at the White House, where again, members of the Press were present to record every word.|
After the meal, the President asked the Earl what he would like to try out during his visit whereupon the Earl asked Eisenhower if he would teach him to water-ski.
This was too much like hard work for the President and he promised him he would teach him golf instead.
The headline of the New York Times, the following morning said.......
