British High Commission organises healthcare roadshow for expats
This might be useful for some.
    Quote:
  • According to the British High Commission, the free presentations will take place on Tuesday October 20 at the Larnaca Civil Defence Headquarters in Mackenzie and on Thursday October 22 at Palia Ilektriki cultural centre, in Paphos Town Centre at 10.30am and later in the day at Pissouri Amphitheatre at 3pm.
The roadshows will be attended by staff from the British High Commission Consular section and representatives from the Department of Health in the UK, as well as local officials.
British Vice Consul at the British High Commission in Nicosia, Christina Smith, told the Cyprus Mail that the roadshows are: “an opportunity for the British community to learn more about their healthcare rights, both in the UK and here in Cyprus, particularly for those of pension age.”

And maybe a warning to those who have no yellow slip, reside here, but
claim benefits in the UK to which they would otherwise not be entitled.
The UK Govt has stated they intend to stop this type of benefit fraud.
Well, they cannot say they were not warned!
June.

Same events were flagged up on the forum some time ago, in General, with details in the "Doctors, Health and Medicines' section. Important thing is you need to reserve a place with the BHC if you want to attend.

Just as I said in my previous - benefit cheats watch out!
We know a couple like that, they have their name down for a council
flat in UK.
Which they intend to then rent out.
These people need prosecuting!
