In Parliament today Jeremy Corbin was castigated for, apparently, mouthing "stupid woman" towards Theresa May! When, however, he 'explained' that what he had actually said to himself was "stupid people" and was referring to the baying Tory mob, then that was decreed as perfectly ok! So, let's get this straight.......it is totally out of order to call an individual female buffoon "stupid" but perfectly acceptable to use the same adjective in regard to a group of mixed gender buffoons?!! Now, have I got that right? :?

T May's response pointed out particularly because its the 100th anniversary of the women's right to vote that his remark could discourage women being part of parliament as they need to be encouraged. Earlier one of her own party brought up several points one being the PEGI situation and she didnt even respond to that question. So I think she was playing the gender card as it seemed to suit her at the time. As for Corbyn's remark he should have known better and should apologise asap.

Sorry, but your reply has left me even more confused! :?
Are you saying that a 'stupid' woman shouldn't be described as such, because women were given the vote 100 years ago, and that voicing an inaudible opinion about any person/group would discourage any woman of value from entering politics?
Also, should anybody be expected to apologise for whispering the truth!! 8)

If she had called him a "stupid man" would there even be a conversation? At the end of the day she is a woman, stupid or not isn't the issue. It's probably not the most worst insult she has had. Let's play the nasty man is a sexist card and try to score a few points. If that comment is enough to dissuade anyone from entering politics, it's probably just as well. They aren't going to last long if they are that thin skinned.
